We've all got it coming...

  Life is truly cyclical. This is my second bio for Enjoy the Music.com and it feels as though I've already lived two lives. Many years ago, I was one of the original reviewers for this site and now I'm back. My love of music began early and always a part of my childhood. Music was always playing within our home and was always part of the band (Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, etc). Percussion being my weapon of choice. During my college years, I worked in a basement recording studio where I learned the difficult task of making music. Spending hours behind the boards, learned what good sound and just how things truly sounded in general.

Naturally I produced my own music. Three albums later, and no record deal in sight, I turned my knowledge of computers into a career. Replaced a mixing board for a keyboard (attached to a PC) and started climbing the corporate ladder. First as a network engineer and later moving into technical project management. Several years passed and found myself entrenched within middle management, making good money... and going through the motions.

I started my road down audiophile-ville, buying a Townhouse and turning the basement into my high-end audio Mecca. Long winters took their toll, and I gave up the snow for the Arizona deserts. Complete with a wife and a mortgage, things continued down the road to mid-life. Finally burned out, I tossed away my business suit for a chance to start my own Home Automation company (with my brother). Business was good and the toys were flowing. My Crestron Automated home became a Demo home to bring my clients. New Bryston amplifiers every year followed by the latest and greatest toys a man could desire.

Then the recession hit and I lost it all... including the wife. Scratching my way out; I saved the house, but lost most of my toys. So, I dusted off the business suit and headed back into the jaws of corporate life. I was on a mission. I wanted my toys back! I wanted the music back!

So I started over. The only remnants of my (once) mighty system, were a pair of Martin Logan Summits. I have since married my college sweetheart, and started down the road to (musical) recovery. My Home Theater has now been converted info a dedicated Audio Room. An Audio Research LS27 pre-amplifier, a powerful Bryston 4B SST2 amplifier and other gear fill my room. Acoustic Panels now adorn the (once) blank walls. The road to a full musical recovery has begun. Come along for the ride!
