CD: Breakfast Records BRCD - 001
As easy as it is reviewing the
mainstream music scene, here's an underground band that making some tasty waves and a cool
buzz in their area! With a forward upbeat pop-rock sound, Fake Brain goes steps
further musically with better lyrics to boot! This CD contains fourteen happy n' fun
party tunes which always seems to bring a smile to my face
Or is that
"Smile a Mile Wide" as song two is titled? The sound quality is quite good
for a multi-tracked studio gig. Of course it is the music that makes me want to hit
the replay button on my CD player. Fake Brain gives it all to you with a unique
perspective. Havent we had enough Spice Girls and N-Sync for the rest of our
lives? If you want to hear some real creativity listen to track 8 on this CD titled
"Half-Murdered Stepgranddaughter". It begins all slow-like with all these
killer sound effects and then goes into this slow groove thing that makes me do that
thrash back n' forth thing with my head. Not like Funkadelic funky but more like
"The End" by the Doors. My fave tune is the steady 4/4 beat humorously
lyric'ed song three "Your Drunk Wife". With lyrics like "I want to spend
the rest of my life with your drunk wife" how could things be better? A bit
demented you say? Sure! You love real music done by indie bands, right? If so, then
visit their website and grab their CD "So Glad You Came". As always,
what really matters to me is that you
Enjoy the music! PS:
Hmm
that CD title reminds me of this girl
Enjoyment: 75
Sound Quality: 90
