Unbalanced A form of cable and electrical circuit in which only one half of the positive/negative signal is
referred to a zero reference earth. The analog audio RCA connection is considered
unbalanced, whereas the XLR is balanced.
Upscaling
A process that mathematically matches the pixel count of the output
of a standard or non-high-definition signal (such as standard DVD) to the
physical pixel count of an HDTV. The visual effects of proper upscaling can be
very impressive.
